Originally this bedroom had allll the 90’s vibes (see below)! The carpet was original to the home and was showing wear, the walls were a cream with yellowish undertone that felt a bit dingy. It’s crazy what new carpet, paint, lighting & new furniture/layout can do! And I also added in a few pics that show the modern frosted glass door we just got installed as well– I LOVE it! It really elevated the space and adds more function and high end style. It’s a great value too because it comes with the custom looking door as well as the track and everything needed to install!
I’ve really loved that this room gets so much natural light. There are a couple windows, plus a glass sliding door that goes out the patio. I wanted to highlight the windows & make the wall with bed the focal point of the room, so I added some beautiful velvet drapery panels. I linked some similar ones below! I used my favorite simple curtain rod in the satin brass with coordinating curtain rings to provide a custom look without the expense.
Another very important element for updating this space is the Generation Lighting Champlain chandelier. It’s amazing. I love the blend of modern & classic detail it adds to the space and that it’s simple look makes a statement without feeling too bulky. The curved arms add a classic detail while the Iron Oxide finish ties in well with the mirror over the bed and the modern sliding door. I’m sharing a full video tour of this space in my YouTube video linked below including tips on how to make a room feel balanced and how to add that higher end feel even when it’s builder grade!
P.S. I got pics of this room with the bench at the end of the bed & also the cube striped ottomans! Which look is your favorite??
