What’s dreamier than a summer date night? Whether stepping out with a steady sweetheart or spouse or getting to know someone new, a night out with a special someone is always brimming with possibilities. And when it comes to makeup for a date, you can’t go wrong with a simple, easy look that lets your natural beauty shine through. I love this sweet sunkissed blush look for date night makeup. It uses a matte liquid blush and a shimmering powder blush to give you a glowing, fresh-faced appearance that’s perfect for any night out.

You can use any shade of blush, but this look will look best with subtle shades– pinks, peaches, and corals, rather than something more graphic and dramatic. The idea is to mimic a sun-warmed glow. This minimalist look is also great for warm spring and summer date night makeup; if it’s going to be hot out, make sure you choose products that can hold up to the heat!

You Will Need:

  • Foundation– any kind will work
  • Matte liquid blush
  • Shimmer powder blush
  • Brow gel
  • Tubing mascara
  • Contour stick

Instructions:

  1. Start with your favorite glowy foundation to even your skin tone.
  2. Apply a matte liquid blush to the apples of your cheeks and blend it out.
  3. Take a shimmery powder blush and apply it on top of the matte blush. Blend it to the high point of your cheeks to add a pop of highlight and set the liquid blush.
  4. Apply a brow gel that will stay all night. Tinted or not, it’s up to you.
  5. Add a tubing mascara for extra length to your lashes. Tubing mascara uses polymers, not oil, to add length and depth to your lashes. This also means that it won’t smear with sweat, so it’s a great choice all around.
  6. Use a contour stick to bronze up your forehead where you get the most sun naturally and blend it in.
